Aura

Aura was found as a stray and was never claimed; she has been in foster care whilst we get to know her better and will soon be ready to find her forever home.

Aura was a little shy when she first arrived at the pound, she was worried about human touch and scared about the environment around her; she has been slowly coming out of her shell and showing us her true love-bug self. Once Aura knows she is safe, she is quite affectionate with her people, she loves chest scratches and will sit on your feet lapping up the attention.

Aura is still building her confidence and needs to take things at her own pace, a home where everyone is over the age of 5 would be suit Aura.

Aura is a clever girl that is very attentive to her people, she is motivated by food and will work to please her people. Aura knows her basic commands and a few extra tricks too, but she could absolutely do with some further training to fine-tune her skills. Aura needs some help with her leash manners and commands under distraction, she is keen to learn and resembles a sponge, willing to soak up anything you will teach her.

Aura is an active girl with a clever mind, she is going to need plenty of stimulation both through exercise, training and games to keep her quick mind working. Aura is the type of dog that would excel at obedience, she picks things up super quickly and lures beautifully. If you are looking for a dog that can be your obedience superstar, this girl is the one for you!

Aura is very conflicted with other dogs and will bark at them out of frustration. Whilst she has been able to meet some dogs in the pound up close and sniff, her arousal levels are high and her manners lacking. Aura will need to work on her dog social skills long-term with her new humans, for now, she needs to be the only dog in her new home, she hasn’t been tested with cats or other small pets.
