Waffle

Waffle is still in the pound and is searching for a foster or foster to adopt home.

Beautiful Waffle lives up to her name and is as sweet as can be despite her rough start. Waffle was found abandoned at a property, tied up without food or water, she was cared for by neighbours before the RSPCA stepped in. Waffle is not enjoying shelter life at all and finds the noisy kennel environment very stressful, she needs a loving home.

Waffle is super affectionate with humans, once she knows you, she will lea if for pats and loves to cuddle, she thinks she is an oversized lap dog. Waffle loves being wherever her people are and will follow you around the house, she is an excellent foot warmed and can be a bit of a couch hog.

Waffle has shown to be a gentle girl and would likely be ok living in most family dynamics.

Waffle is a clever girl and knows her basic commands, she would do well with further training especially when out on walks, as she is hypervigilant when other dogs are around and needs to learn to focus and engage with her handler.

Waffle does not like other dogs and becomes instantly stressed and over-aroused when she sees them, she will bark and lunge at other dogs and doesn’t want them around. Waffle needs to keep her distance from other dogs, she would benefit from working with a trainer to reduce her reactivity, however her long-term goal isn’t to interact with others, but to walk past them without reacting.

Waffle needs to be the only pet in her new home; she hasn’t been tested with cats or other small animals.
