ZIVA THE DIVA

Stunning 6-year-old Ziva has spent the last few months recovering in foster care, after she was saved from the pound in horrible condition. Our beautiful girl is now looking her best and feeling even better, she is finally ready to find her forever home.

Ziva is an affectionate, cuddly girl that wants to be the centre of your world, this girl loves attention and LOVES cuddles, leaning into your legs for more pats and brushes! Ziva can be a little nervous when visitors first come to the home and will bark to let everyone know that she is the boss! Ziva warms up quickly with the help of treats and space to approach on her own terms.

Ziva is the definition of a diva, she oozes sass and attitude and likes to talk back to her people, this girl is incredibly cheeky and rather hilarious, however she does need a confident owner that despite Ziva’s protesting, will give her boundaries and let her know that she indeed is not the boss of the house. Ziva would not suit a first-time German Shepherd owner; she is strong-willed and will need someone experienced with the natural sass that comes with this breed. Ziva is looking for a home where everyone is over the age of 10.

Ziva is extremely clever; however, she has never been given much in the way of training and her manners need some work. Ziva is treat motivated and despite her huffs of protest, she does enjoy training. Ziva is looking for someone who is committed to teaching her rules and fine-tuning her manners, she is a good girl but needs reminding some of the time.

Ziva was attacked by other dogs prior to coming into our care, as a result she is fear reactive and will bark and lunge at other dogs to tell them to go away. Ziva has successfully been introduced to other dogs in the past and did live with another dog for most of her life, however she is much happier on her own and will need ongoing practise to be calm around others through slow, positive exposure. Ziva’s long-term goal is to walk calmly and stay focused on her handler when other dogs are around, this will take time and effort from her new human, for now she needs to be the only dog in her new home.
Ziva has not been tested with cats or other small pets, she would likely chase them if given the chance.

Despite her diva exterior, inside Ziva is as sweet as can be and ultimately just wants someone to love her as much as she will love them. Ziva is incredibly affectionate and snuggly with those she loves most and would love to be invited onto the bed or couch for a cuddle.

After being neglected for so long, Ziva has now become accustomed to the good life and being spoiled in foster care. Ziva is looking for someone that will make her their entire world, adventures, cuddles, treats and anything else her heart desires is what this beautiful girl deserves!
